Just as he was a hair’s breadth away from taking a huge “step” in his career by signing with Omonia, Giorgos Viktoros was on the wrong end of today’s 3-0 loss by the National Under-21 Team to Romania, as part of the 8th matchday of the qualifying round for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
The 21-year-old center back was injured in the 60th minute of the match and had to be substituted, with Kyriakou taking his place.
However, it is believed that the injury is not serious.
