Hans-i Flick’s Barcelona continues to impress, putting on yet another offensive display! The “Blaugrana” secured a resounding 5-2 victory on Betis’ home turf, in Matchday 9 of La Liga, with Lamine Yamal once again stealing the show and leading the “Blaugrana” to yet another victory.
The Catalans came out strong and opened the scoring in the 9th minute, with Yamal finding the top right corner of Vayes’ net.
Betis tried to respond and equalized in the 26th minute through Diego Gómez, but Barcelona had the answer once again. In the 40th minute, Rodri found the back of the net and restored the lead for Flick’s team, which went into halftime ahead.
The second half turned into a real back-and-forth affair. In the 51st minute, Gabriel Jesus made it 3-1, but Betis pulled one back immediately, one minute later, through Abde Ezalzouli, temporarily keeping the match exciting.
However, Facundo Bernal’s ejection in the very same minute—a straight red card for headbutting Yamal—made the home team’s task even more difficult. Barcelona capitalized on its numerical advantage and put an end to any hopes Betis might have had.
Eric García made it 4-2 in the 61st minute, while Dani Olmo sealed the final 5-2 score in the 80th minute, capping off yet another triumph for the Catalans.
With this result, Barcelona remains undefeated in the league, staying atop La Liga with 9 wins and a goal difference of 39 (just over 4 goals per game).
