Barcelona will be without Andreas Christensen for about six weeks. The Danish international defender, who was substituted during the 3-1 league victory over Sevilla at the “Sánchez Pizjuán” (1-3), has suffered a strained left quadriceps.

The 30-year-old defender will miss not only the Spanish champions’ upcoming league matches but also the Danish national team’s upcoming matches against Norway (Sept. 24 in Oslo), Wales (September 27 in Copenhagen and October 4 in Cardiff), and Portugal (October 1 in Copenhagen) in Group 4 of League A of the Nations League.
