Barcelona’s official website lists a soccer camp in occupied Nicosia, a move that raises serious questions about the Catalan club.
The camp in question is called “Lefkosa Camp” and is scheduled to take place at the so-called “Near East University” in “Northern Cyprus,” as the listing specifically states.
The camp is scheduled to take place from September 7 to 11 and from September 16 to 20, with three training sessions each day.
In fact, “Barça” includes a name, phone number, and email address in the relevant post.
This move is clearly not just… propaganda for the pseudo-state, but also creates an image of normality for an illegal entity recognized only by Turkey.
It should be noted that several years ago, the current president of the “Blaugrana,” Joan Laporta, had visited occupied Kyrenia with Serdar Denktaş, then head of the so-called “Turkish Cypriot Football Federation.”
