Barcelona has hit the ground running and is leaving everyone else scrambling to keep up. The “Blaugrana” crushed Racing Santander with an impressive 7-2 victory and posted a perfect 6-0 record in La Liga, once again confirming their offensive prowess.
The Barcelona team entered the match determined to dictate the pace from the start—and they succeeded. Their pressure, quick ball movement, and constant attacking runs created problems for Racing’s defense from the start.
João Cancelo opened the scoring in the 7th minute with a shot into the top corner, putting Barcelona in the lead early on. The home team continued to press forward, and in the 24th minute, Rafinha converted a penalty kick to make it 2-0.
Racing, however, didn’t give up and pulled one back to make it 2-1 in the 30th minute, temporarily reigniting the match. Barcelona, however, responded immediately. Cancelo found the back of the net again in the 35th minute, while Raphinha scored his second goal of the match in the 41st minute, with the first half ending 4-1, following a missed penalty kick by Yamal.
The picture didn’t change in the second half. Although the visitors managed to pull one back in the 64th minute, this time making it 4-2, they… woke up a Barcelona side that had been dormant until then in the second half.
Just one minute later, Rafinha stepped up to the penalty spot once more, completing his hat trick and bringing the score to 5-2.
The party at Camp Nou continued until the final whistle, with Gabriel Jesus finding the back of the net in the 78th minute to make it 6-2, before Yamal scored the seventh goal, adding even more grandeur to the Catalans’ triumph.
With this victory, Barcelona reached 18 points, having achieved a perfect record of six wins in their first six matches while scoring 28 goals—nearly five goals per game!
