Developments in Greek basketball are unfolding rapidly following allegations of bribery and match-fixing against the president of the Greek Basketball Federation (EOK), his associates, and members of the Central Referees’ Committee (KED).
According to information that has come to light, arrest warrants have been issued for six individuals as part of the investigation, including the president of the Hellenic Basketball Federation, Vaso Tsaroucha, Petros Papapetrou—who retired from active refereeing due to his age—as well as former referees and officials of the Central Refereeing Committee, Tassos Piloidis and Ilias Koromilas.

The sixth person is Giorgos Mavraghanis, who, according to relevant information, does not hold an official position within the Hellenic Olympic Committee (EOK), but maintains a close personal and business relationship with Vangelis Liolios.
