Achilles Beos announced that he will not run for president of the Stoiximan Super League.
Here is the full text of his post: “About two
months ago, I stated regarding my intention to run for the presidency of the Super League that this was contingent on there being no opposing candidate, as such a development would lead to intense behind-the-scenes maneuvering, conflicts, alliances, and political horse-trading—none of which serve the interests of soccer or align with my personal goals.
Today, on election day, other candidacies have emerged, and indeed, even interventions from outside the world of soccer—with a strong political flavor and tone—are in full swing.
In light of this, I am withdrawing my candidacy for the presidency of the Super League, wishing whoever is elected president every success in their work, for the good of soccer and our association.”
