Omonia suffered a 4-1 loss to Benfica at GSP Stadium in the third matchday of the Europa League group stage.
After the match, Omonia coach Henning Berg spoke to the press, commenting on the game.

Comment on the match: “We did quite a few things very well; especially in the first half, we were on equal footing with Benfica. The difference came in the second half; we conceded a goal we don’t usually concede, since we defend better.”
On the forced substitution of Evandro: “We didn’t want to take any chances with Evandro; we managed the situation.”
On the demanding schedule: “We have a lot of back-to-back games; now we have AEK. We’re very happy, though, to be participating in this tournament.”
