His remarks:
Opening remarks: “I’m very happy. We showed quality on offense, defended well, and demonstrated the right mindset and quality on the field. We were the better team, and the better team won. We were dominant and played a good game on the road. In soccer, you never know—anything is possible. You can lose to teams that aren’t that good and beat the best ones. We stayed focused and pulled it off.”
On their next opponent in the competition, Benfica: “Last year, Benfica beat Real Madrid in the Champions League. Of course, we have Olympiacos first, and once that’s over, we’ll turn our attention to Benfica. We’re happy with our performance and the win.”
On Montnor’s first goal: “He creates plenty of chances; he’s very good overall—he just hadn’t found the back of the net yet. Today he scored, and that’s very positive.”
