Omonia coach Henning Berg spoke to the media following the 1-1 draw against Lincoln in the third qualifying round of the Europa League.
The Norwegian coach focused particularly on the playing surface, which he described as… difficult, and emphasized that he is looking forward to playing on a proper grass field in the second leg. He also highlighted just how important the equalizing goal was for his team.
Here’s what he said in detail
“It was a tough game on a tough field, but the fact that we came back and scored at the end makes it even better. We could have scored in the first half, but we had to fight and battle to stay in the game in the second half when they had the momentum. We weren’t dangerous enough given how much possession we had. We’re halfway there; we’re looking forward to playing at home on natural grass, and we’re looking forward to the game ahead of us.”
