Jalen Brunson expressed optimism about the future of the New York Knicks, citing the team’s goal to remain at the top of the NBA next season as well.
The New York team’s leader, who was named MVP of the Finals against the San Antonio Spurs, emphasized that the Knicks have the talent and mindset to contend for another title, noting that the challenge of a back-to-back championship is a powerful motivator for everyone.
Here’s what the Knicks star had to say:
“I have complete confidence in us every night we step onto the court, because of the way we’ve managed to overcome all the challenges over the past two years.
If we have the same—or even better—mindset and work ethic, then obviously I really like our chances for a back-to-back.
We need, however, to quickly turn the page and, at some point, leave the Larry O’Brien Trophy behind.”
