Celta's coach, Claudio Hiraldes, spoke at a press conference ahead of the first match of the Europa League group stage against Omonia at GSP Stadium (September 16, 7:45 p.m.).
The 38-year-old Spanish coach emphasized that his team had only one training session to prepare and also noted that the “Greens” are a team capable of causing damage both on the counterattack and when they have possession.

Here is what he said in detail:
On the match: “We’re returning to European competition with tremendous enthusiasm and kicking off this Europa League season, which excites us so much. This can overcome anything. Obviously, the preparation time was short, and we had only one training session to get ready for the match. We’ll have the team in good shape. Our mental strength will make up for any lack of physical fitness. I feel privileged to be here.”
On Omonia: “We’ve watched many of their matches and know that they’re very capable of causing damage, attacking in both transition and possession play. They’ve been the dominant team, along with Paphos, here in Cyprus in recent years.”
