AEK Larnaca suffered a 3-2 loss to PAOK in the Netherlands in an action-packed friendly match featuring five goals.
The Larnaca team opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a goal by Dorde Ivanović, and Hatzidis tied the game at 1-1 in the 32nd minute with a spectacular shot.
In the second half, Alessio Lisi’s team managed to take the lead with a goal by Geremeyev in the 59th minute. The “yellow-and-greens” responded immediately and tied the match with a header by Petros Ioannou in the 62nd minute, but Tyson sealed the final score with a direct free kick in the 74th minute.
It should be noted that the match took place under the watchful eye of the team’s president, Andros Karapatakis.
The next and final friendly match for Mauro Camoranesi’s team will be on Friday (July 10) against Ajax.
