The nominees for the award for the top goalkeeper of the year have been announced, which will be presented at the Golden Ball Awards ceremony on October 26 in London, with former AEL goalkeeper Vozinha, among the nominees.

The goalkeepers vying for the “Lev Yashin” Award—named after the legendary Russian goalkeeper—are Yashin Bono (Al-Hilal/Morocco National Team), Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid/Belgium National Team), Joan García (Barcelona), Gregor Kobel (Dortmund), Emiliano Martínez (Chelsea-Aston Villa/Argentina National Team), Edouard Mendy (Al Ahli/Senegal National Team), David Raya (Arsenal), Matvey Shafonov (Paris Saint-Germain), Unai Simón (Athletic Bilbao/Spain national team), and Vozinha (Colo-Colo/Cape Verde national team).

Earlier, the nominees for the awards for best team and top coach had also been announced.
