The signing of Brazilian winger, Gabriel Teixeira Aragão (Biel), on loan from Sporting Lisbon.

The Cup champions thanked the Portuguese club for its cooperation, which made it possible for the talented 25-year-old player to come to the island; he will wear the “blue” jersey for one season.

The full announcement reads: “Paphos FC is delighted to announce the signing of Brazilian soccer player Gabriel Teixeira Aragão (Biel) on loan from Sporting Clube de Portugal until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Born on April 1, 2001, Biel began his professional career in his home country before establishing himself with EC Bahia, where he delivered outstanding performances and gained significant experience in Brazil’s top league.

His performances earned him a transfer to Sporting Clube de Portugal, where he continued to develop as a player and further enriched his experience at the highest level.

Now, Biel is starting a new chapter in his career with Paphos FC, ahead of a particularly demanding season in Cyprus and Europe.
