Spain’s victory over Croatia. The World Champions defeated Croatia 4-1 in Seville and are now 2-0 in the Nations League, having defeated England in their opener. Croatia remained on three points, having won 2-1 on the road against the Czech Republic in their opener.
Spain opened the scoring just two minutes into the game, with Baena crossing the ball and Fermín failing to reach it, but Yamal sent the ball into the net with a beautiful shot. The response came in the 28th minute, with Perišić delivering an excellent cross with his right foot from the left and Belio heading it into the net.
Spain regained control of the match shortly thereafter, with Pumbl heading the ball into the net, while in the 45th minute, the world champions came close to making it 3-1 when Fermín’s shot hit the right post of the Croatian goalkeeper. That goal finally came in the 63rd minute when Yamal beat Livaković in the near corner. In the 89th minute, Niko Williams cut in nicely from the left and sent the ball into the net with a flawless shot.
