Jean Karnitsnik continues to be in the spotlight, with the latest developments looking positive for Omonia, which has him high on its list.
A Slovenian report yesterday (July 3) claimed that Maribor tried to “squeeze in” on the negotiations and sign the 31-year-old defender for themselves.
However, today, the sports director of the team from the country’s second-largest city, Zahovič, commenting on the Slovenian international’s situation, acknowledged his value, emphasizing that he is a player any club would want, but made it clear that the rumors of offers are unfounded.
With that in mind, the “clover” remains Karnitsnik’s top choice, and at least—for now—it has no competition for his services.
In detail: “Who wouldn’t want Žan? Žan is a player that every Slovenian club would want. I wish him all the best, and he knows that our doors are always open to him. However, the world of soccer is very difficult; there are far too many false rumors and alleged offers circulating, and I hope everything works out for the best for him.”
