AEK’s press officer, Kyriakos Dimitriou, spoke to “Super Sport 104.0” about everything related to the Larnaca team.
He discussed the final warm-up match against Apollon (July 16, 7:30 p.m.), provided an update on the team’s status, and emphasized that the priority right now is Beitar, not adding new players.
Here are his comments in detail
On the friendly match against Apollon: “We’re in the final stretch before our first official match in a week and a bit against Beitar Jerusalem. Tomorrow we’ll play our last friendly. It will be a test to see where we stand. We won’t be completely ready, but with the work we’ve done in the Netherlands and Cyprus, the goal is to be as prepared as possible. We had the opportunity to go to training camp and work from day one with all the new signings and the eight players.”
Regarding the team’s current situation: “We don’t have anything to worry about. It’s just the case with Anderegen. He isn’t dealing with an injury; he was just very fatigued and sat out for a few days. He fell behind, but now he’s working hard to get back on track. He won’t be available for tomorrow’s friendly.”
On the topic of reinforcements: “We’ll see as we go along. The priority for us right now is to be ready for our first European matches against Beitar.”
