The Netherlands’ victory over Serbia in Belgrade in the Nations League (1-2) came at a high cost, as Kodi Hakpo was injured and had to be substituted in the 17th minute.
The Liverpool forward took a hard tackle on his left ankle and was unable to continue. Initial assessments suggest he avoided serious injury, but it is unlikely he will be available for Thursday’s match against Greece at Toumba Stadium.
“We hope it’s nothing serious. He’ll undergo tests on Monday so we can find out,” said the “Oranje” coach, Xavi.
