Olympiacos has managed to keep one of the greatest talents from its youth academy in its ranks.
As announced by his agent, Nikos Vidalis has signed a professional contract, and the “Red-and-Whites” have secured a player they hope will soon become the next Kostoulas and the next Mouzakitis!
A player who has caught the attention of several clubs, with recent reports from Portugal regarding Braga’s interest being particularly telling.
The Piraeus club’s management acted swiftly and, with the right moves, signed the player a few days ago, right after his 15th birthday!
He is a player with rare attributes for his age. Although he is only 15, he stands over 1.90 m tall and plays as a center back. He is right-footed, but coaches often prefer to have him play as a left center back because he is also skilled with his left foot.
As captain of the U-15 national team, he plays for both Olympiacos’ U-15 and U-17 teams. In fact, the “Red-and-Whites” are already considering integrating Nikos Vidalis into the B team, which competes in Super League 2, due to his natural talent and physical attributes. They will consider this possibility and make their decision, drawing on the recent examples of the two players mentioned above, Kostoulas and Mouzakitis, who “cut their teeth” in this tough league from a young age.
