Today is a special day for Marios Iliopoulos, as the owner of AEK FC is celebrating his birthday.
Marios Iliopoulos was born on September 18, 1969, and turns 57 today, now entering his third season as the administrative leader of the “yellow-and-blacks”.

AEK FC didn’t miss the chance to wish him a happy birthday, posting a photo of him on social media taken in Nea Filadelfia, with a raised fist and a yellow-and-black scarf.
“May you live to be a hundred, President!” was AEK’s characteristic wish, accompanied by the message: “Keep inspiring us with your faith and passion for the top.”
Marios Iliopoulos has been at the helm of the club since the summer of 2024, when he succeeded Dimitris Melissanidis, and has since made significant investments to strengthen the team and further the club’s overall development.
This year’s anniversary finds AEK back in the Champions League group stage and having set high goals for the 2026–27 season.
