It's Official: Panathinaikos Signs Anas Salah Eddin! The “Clover” has reached a verbal agreement with Roma, as well as with the Moroccan national team defender, to acquire him on loan. The “Greens” also have a purchase option for next summer.
The 24-year-old fullback is expected in Athens tonight to finalize the formalities. That is, to undergo the required medical exams and, barring any unforeseen circumstances, to sign his contract with Panathinaikos on Sunday.
News had emerged as early as Friday evening that Salah Eddin was “strongly linked” to Panathinaikos, and on Saturday morning, the reliable journalist Gianluca Di Marzio revealed the terms of a potential deal, which were subsequently confirmed.
It should be noted that he is coming off a very strong season with PSV Eindhoven on loan, playing in 25 matches and earning a spot on Morocco’s roster for the 2026 World Cup, where he appeared in four games. After returning to Roma, he wanted to compete for a spot on the roster, but the odds were not in his favor.
It should be noted that the player was also on Olympiacos’s radar during the summer.
