PAOK has finalized a very important signing, having reached an agreement with Partizan to acquire Ognen Ugrešić.
The 20-year-old star, who can play both as a "8" and a "10," is considered one of Serbia’s top talents, and the deal will cost €8,000,000, plus bonuses. The player is expected in Thessaloniki shortly to undergo medical exams and sign his contract.
Essentially, the tall star (1.88 m) is intended to fill the void left by Giannis Konstantelias, who was sold to Dortmund.
Ugrešić, who has made one appearance for the Serbian men’s national team (in a friendly against Andorra in October), came up through the Partizan youth academy.
This season, he has already made 7 appearances and scored 2 goals in league play (5-1) and Champions League qualifiers (2-1). Last season, in 44 matches, he had 8 goals and 4 assists.
