George Russell tasted the thrill of victory for the first time in a while!
The British Mercedes driver was the big winner in the Sprint Race at Zandvoort, Netherlands, returning from the summer break in excellent racing form!
Just 24 hours after securing pole position yesterday for the 24-lap mini-race, Russell held off Charles Leclerc’s pressure in the final laps and crossed the finish line first, with the Monegasque Ferrari driver following in second.
Lando Norris rounded out the podium in the top McLaren, while championship leader Kimi Antonelli finished in 4th place.
