Aiming to remain undefeated in the EuroLeague, Panathinaikos hosts Maccabi Tel Aviv tonight (Oct. 2, 9:15 p.m.) at the Telekom Center Athens for Game 3.
In fact, there’s a major surprise in the “Greens’” 12-man roster, as Nigel Hayes-Davis is back! The American forward, who suffered a fracture in the fourth metacarpal of his left hand during preseason training, showed tremendous determination to play, received the “go-ahead” from the team’s medical staff and is expected to make his debut this season!

As a reminder, several hours before tip-off, Hayes-Davis was on the glass floor of the Telekom Center doing an individual workout, having stepped up the intensity of his training sessions in recent days. Now, it remains to be seen how much playing time he’ll get, as Zeljko Obradović wants to get him into a rhythm ahead of the tough games that lie ahead.
Otherwise, Kendrick Nunn, Kostas Sloukas, Juancho Hernangómez, and Iasonas Varvaritis remain sidelined.
Here is the 12-man roster:
Panathinaikos (Obradović): Grant, Kalaitzakis, Francisco, Bandio, Bonga, Rogavopoulos, Moraitis, Mantzoukas, Yambousele, Lesor, Mitoglou, Hayes-Davis.
