A significant development in this year’s Superbet Greek Cup, with Levadiakos being excluded following the ruling on the appeal filed by Asteras after their match in the tournament!
The Arkadians will be participating in the League Phase of this year’s tournament, as the result of the match against Levadiakos has been officially overturned.
Following their qualifying-round match, the Tripoli-based team lodged a complaint regarding the ineligible participation of Moses Davis Kompnan.
The initial ruling by the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO) Disciplinary Committee had rejected Asteras’s appeal; however, the appeal was upheld.
The announcement:
“At its most recent meeting, the EPO Appeals Committee reached the following decision:
By a majority vote, it upheld the appeal filed on August 20, 2026, by the appellant soccer club, AGS Asteras Tripolis. It imposed the following penalties on the respondent professional soccer club (P.A.E.) known as A.P.O. Levadiakos: a) forfeiture of the match played on August 18, 2026, between the parties’ teams, with a score of 0–3, and b) a fine of 8,000 euros. It set aside the appealed decision, No. 538/2026, of the EPO Disciplinary Committee.”
