A particularly significant honor for Greek soccer is the inclusion of two Greek players among this year’s nominees for the Golden Boy award, which is awarded annually by the Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
Konstantinos Karetsas is among the top 20 nominees, while Babis Kostoulas was included on the list via a wild card.
This recognition is a tremendous honor for both young international players, as the Golden Boy is considered one of the most prestigious individual awards for the top talents in world soccer. In fact, Greece’s representation takes on even greater significance, given that last year’s award went to Christos Mouzakitis.
Karetsas and Kostoulas are among some of the most promising names of the new generation, such as Lamine Yamal, Pau Kubarsi, Ayub Bouadi, Yan Diomande, and Warren Zaire-Emery—a fact that further highlights the significance of the honor.
The public can participate in the voting via the Tuttosport website by selecting their favorite nominee.
