In addition to AEK, Apollon, and Paphos, the Conference League draw also held interest for Greece!
Panathinaikos now knows who it will face in the third qualifying round of the Conference League, provided it first gets past Hungarian side Paks. The “Clover” will face the winner of the Spartak Trnavaand CSKA 1948—two teams with different styles but a shared goal of making their mark in Europe.

Countdown to the Panathinaikos derby
Panathinaikos’ first match is scheduled for August 6 at the OAKA, with the second leg to follow on the 13th of the month, either in Slovakia or Bulgaria, depending on who advances. The draw in Nyon laid out a clear path to the playoffs, but everything hinges on Paksi and the two matches that come before it.
On the contrary, PAOK obviously has its mind set solely on the upcoming match against Dynamo Kyiv in the second qualifying round of the Europa League and the obstacles of Hammarby or Anderlechtfor the next round; however, they’ve also figured out what to do in case they need… Plan B.
The “Double-Headed Eagle of the North,” if it fails to get past the Ukrainians, will have the option to switch to the Conference League and get a second chance at European competition through the third qualifying round of that tournament.
There, it is expected to face either Qarabağ or CSKA Sofia.
