PAOK has announced its first signing of the Alessio Lisi era!
The “Double-Headed Eagle of the North” has officially announced the signing of the experienced Basque player, Aritz Elustondo, on a two-year contract!
The announcement:
“PAOK FC announces the signing of Aritz Elustondo Iribarri on a free transfer. The Spanish center back has signed a contract with PAOK through June 30, 2028, and will wear the No. 6 jersey.
Elustondo (born March 28, 1994), originally from Beasain in Gipuzkoa, in the Basque Country, took his first steps in soccer at the Real Sociedad youth academy. In July 2012, he was loaned to SD Beasain, a Tercera Division team, where he made his first appearances at the senior level.
In the summer of 2013, he returned to Real Sociedad, joined the club’s reserve team, which was competing in the Segunda División B, and on January 14, 2015, made his debut with the first team in a match against Villarreal.
In total, he has played 313 times for the San Sebastián-based club. Elustondo has played for the Basque Country’s representative team, as well as for Spain’s U-21 national team.”
