Manchester City finalized one of the biggest and most expensive transfers in soccer history late Tuesday night (September 1)!
After several days of tough negotiations with Chelsea, the “Citizens” announced today the “bombshell” signing of Enzo Fernández, with the Argentine midfielder signing a five-year contract, running through the summer of 2031!
To finalize this mega-deal, the “Citizens” had to shell out 125 million pounds, thereby equaling the most expensive transfer in Premier League history, which was last year’s transfer of Alexander Isak from Newcastle to Liverpool!
The 25-year-old Argentine had been playing for the “Blues” since January 2023, when he was acquired from Benfica for 121 million euros, and during his time at Chelsea, he has made 170 appearances, scoring 30 goals and providing 31 assists across all competitions.
Welcome to Manchester City, Enzo
