Juancho Hernangómez will remain a Panathinaikos player until 2030… at least.
The deal previously announced by Dimitris Giannakopoulos has been made official, with the Spanish power forward signing a three-year contract extension. If he completes his four-year stint with the “clover,” the 30-year-old star will become the second-longest-serving foreign player in Panathinaikos history (tying James Gist) with seven seasons on the team, second only to Mike Batiste, who spent ten seasons with the club as a player.
“Put on your jersey, Uncle Huanzo. ‘The Show Must Go On,’ just as you said from day one!
Our very own Huanzo Hernangómez STAYS exactly where he belongs. At HOME.
Because some bonds are meant to last a lifetime.
For many, many more days together. Until 2030!”
Juancho has already spent three years with Panathinaikos, having won the EuroLeague (2024), the league title (2024), and two Cups (2025, 2026).
Put on your jersey, Uncle Juancho. The Show Must Go On, just as you’ve said since Day 1!
OUR very own Juancho Hernangomez is STAYING exactly where he belongs: HOME!
Because some bonds are meant to last a lifetime.
