Omonia’s agreement with OFI regarding the transfer of Tasos Hatzigiovanis has been formalized, with the “Greens” bidding farewell to the 29-year-old.
The Greek winger, after one year with the “Greens,” made 45 appearances in all competitions, scoring 5 goals and providing an equal number of assists.
His highlight, of course, was winning the first league title of his career last season.
The announcement: “After a year of successful collaboration, we bid farewell to Tasos Hatzigiannis from OMONOIA.
Tasaras, as our fans call him, leaves his mark on the history of Omonia, with his greatest achievement being his significant contribution to winning the club’s 22nd league title. He wore the shamrock on his chest in 45 matches, scored five goals, and recorded five assists, and in addition to the league title, he also celebrated two qualifications to the group stages of European competitions—one in the UEFA Europa League and one in the UEFA Conference League.
His quality as a soccer player, his performance on the field, his passion in every match, his willingness to contribute, the positive energy he always brought, and his exceptional character were the key elements that bound Tasos Hatzigiovanis to the OMONOIA family—and that bond will last forever.
Tasara, thank you for everything!
Best of luck as you move forward in your career!”
