Pedro Martínez’s situation at Real Madrid has come to a happy ending, as the Spanish coach will remain on the bench for “Los Blancos” for the next three years, as was officially announced on Monday (July 6).
The 65-year-old coach reached a full agreement with the Spanish team, which paid 1 million euros to Valencia, where he enjoyed a dream season, reaching the EuroLeague Final Four and winning the Spanish league title.
For Martínez, this will be the biggest challenge of his career; in addition to Valencia, he has previously coached Salamanca, Granada, Tenerife, Girona, and Seville.
The Spaniard, who is considered the “anti-Scarriolo,” will sign a three-year contract and will attempt to put the “Queen” back on the path to success.
