Francisco Ortega is now officially a River Plate player!
On Thursday evening (August 6), the “Millionaires” announced the signing of the Argentine defender from Olympiacos, with both sides signing a contract running through December 2030.

Just an hour after his emotional “goodbye” and heartfelt “thank you” to the Piraeus club for everything they’d experienced together over the past three years, the 27-year-old defender was officially announced by River Plate, which finalized the deal with the “Red-and-Whites” for 5 million euros.
Olympiacos FC responded immediately, posting a message on social media thanking the player for his contributions to the club.
“Francisco, thank you, and we wish you good luck in your next endeavors,” the message read.
