It’s official: Olympiacos will be playing at SUNEL Arena for the next few months!
Twenty-four hours after the meeting between the “red-and-white” basketball club and its AEK counterpart to finalize the details of the deal, the Piraeus-based club officially announced on Wednesday afternoon that they will use the Ano Liosia indoor arena as their temporary home while renovation work is underway at SEF.
The full announcement reads:
“Olympiacos BC announces that for the coming months, until the completion of the work and the handover of the new SEF, our team will play its home games at the SUNEL Arena.
This temporary change of venue does not alter what we know well: wherever our team plays, its strength lies in its fans. The red-and-white cheers, the passion, and the support of our fans will accompany us on this journey as well.
Olympiacos BC feels the need to warmly thank AEK BC for its excellent cooperation, its responsiveness, and its hospitality, which contributed significantly to finding the best possible solution for our team during this transitional period.
Until the big comeback, we continue together.”
