Hapoel Tel Aviv announced the signing of Zach LeDay to a two-year contract following his departure from Armani Milan.
The American power forward, who previously played for Olympiacos, no longer fit into the team’s plans after the signing of Alec Peters as the starting “4.”
The 32-year-old star averaged 11.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1 assist per game in the EuroLeague this season, while winning the double with the Milan team.
“I’m very excited and grateful for the opportunity to join Hapoel Tel Aviv. From the very first moment, I felt this club’s ambition and the belief in what we’re building together. I can’t wait to start representing this club and playing in front of our amazing fans. “Let’s chase greatness together and make history,” said LeDay.
The team’s general manager, Giorgos Chinas, said: “It’s a great privilege for us to welcome Zach to the Hapoel family. He’s a player who has made his mark on European basketball as a true fighter and top competitor. Zack can play two positions; he’s very versatile and will add a new dimension to our game.”
The team’s head coach, Dimitris Itoudis, said: “I congratulate Zach on joining our family. He’s highly motivated to help build a culture at Hapoel. He can play both the 4 and the 5. He’s taken his game to the next level over the past year and will bring his EuroLeague experience to the team. We’re very happy to have him join Hapoel and can’t wait to see him in action.”
Welcome, Zach
