PAOK has officially completed its 10th signing, finalizing the acquisition of Kristian Jakic on loan (with a buyout clause of 4 million euros) from Augsburg.

The 29-year-old star plays as a defensive midfielder and will immediately join the “Double-Headed Eagle of the North” and is likely to be available for the upcoming derby against Aris at Toumba on Sunday (September 13, 9:00 p.m.). Kristian Jakic was born on May 14, 1997, in Croatia and plays primarily as a defensive midfielder.

He began his soccer career at the age of seven with NK Mracaj Runovic and later joined the NK Imotski academy.

In 2017, he moved to Lokomotiva, and during the 2017–18 season, he played on loan at NK Istra, where he put in outstanding performances.

He attracted the interest of Dinamo Zagreb, which signed him in the summer of 2020. Wearing the Dinamo jersey, he quickly established himself as a starter, making significant appearances in the Champions League and the Europa League.In the summer of 2021, he moved to Germany to play for Eintracht Frankfurt, initially on loan. In his first season, he was a key member of the team that won the Europa League, with Eintracht defeating Rangers in the final on penalty kicks. His performances led to a permanent transfer to the German club in May 2022.In January 2024, he joined FC Augsburg, initially on loan, before his transfer became permanent in May of that same year, on a four-year contract.At the international level, Jakic made his debut with the Croatian national team in October 2021.
