The historic game between the Greek and Cypriot men’s national basketball teams, which took place yesterday (August 24) for the first time on Greek soil, served as the occasion for a delegation from the Cyprus Basketball Federation to visit the offices of the Hellenic Basketball Federation.
The president of the Hellenic Basketball Federation (EOK), Vangelis Liolios, welcomed the president of the Cyprus Basketball Federation (KOK), Louie Demetriou, the General Director, Marinos Mitrou, and the Head of Planning and Development, Dimitris Papadopoulos. The meeting was also attended by the EOK’s General Director, Dinos Sverkounos.
During the cordial discussion, the excellent relations that have long bound the two Federations were reaffirmed, as well as their shared desire to further strengthen and expand their cooperation.
They discussed issues of mutual interest and expressed their intention to take advantage of every opportunity to develop joint actions and initiatives for the benefit of basketball in both countries.
