A major return has been finalized for Aris. That of Manu García. Kansas City announced his release, with the player having reached an agreement with the “Yellows” and expected to arrive in Thessaloniki shortly to sign.
According to reports, the player is heading to Greece immediately to join the “Yellows,” having already agreed to a three-year deal.
In one of his Instagram Stories, Theodoros Karipidis revealed that he had been in contact with the Spanish star, essentially confirming the impending deal.
In its announcement, Kansas City states: “Sporting Kansas City announced today that the club has mutually agreed with midfielder Manu García to terminate his contract. The club has also bought out Garcia’s guaranteed contract, meaning the player no longer occupies a Designated Player spot on Sporting’s roster.
Garcia joined Sporting KC ahead of the 2025 season and recorded four goals and 14 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions. Previously, he had played in Europe, having played for clubs in England, France, Spain, and Greece.”
As a reminder, Manu García transferred to Kansas in 2025 and made a total of 47 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing 14 assists.
