Professional Game Referees, also known as PGMOL, officially commented on the refereeing decision regarding the goal that decided the match and secured City’s victory (1-0) over United in the Manchester derby at Old Trafford!
The governing body essentially acknowledged that the specific play was handled incorrectly, though of course this can no longer change the outcome of the match.
“In the case of Enzo Fernández, the VAR failed to recognize that, while he did not actually touch the ball, his positioning influenced the play, and there should have been an on-field review. We contacted Manchester United to inform the club of the incorrect call…” Pro Ref stated.
Is there anyone in the world who plays uglier yet more efficient soccer than Haaland?
