Maccabi Tel Aviv got off to the best possible start to the season, as they defeated Hapoel 101-83 with a dominant performance and some great basketball to claim the domestic Super Cup.
Although the game started off evenly, with the first quarter ending at 28-26, Maccabi then stepped on the gas, and combined with Itoudis’s team’s inability to keep up with the pace, they cruised to an easy victory
Maccabi’s leading scorer—who shot exceptionally well on offense—was Sorokin with 16 points, followed by Colson, who finished with 13.
On the other hand, Vasilije Mišić stood out for Hapoel, recording a double-double with 17 points and 10 assists.
Quarter scores: 28-26, 54-42, 79-56, 101-83
