Lionel Messi was in a league of his own in Inter Miami’s recent match against the Philadelphia Union.
The Argentine star, who scored his first goal since the loss of his father, appeared particularly agitated during that match.
After getting into a heated exchange with the visitors’ Quinn Sullivan, he didn’t hesitate to slap him. The referee did not show him a card even though he was nearby, nor was he penalized via VAR.
Meanwhile, it was reported that the 39-year-old star was fined for his behavior, but the MLS did not disclose the amount.
