Our U-19 national team celebrated a 3-0 friendly victory over Malta today.
The match took place at the Ethnikos Achna Stadium, and Cyprus, which dominated for long stretches of the game, deservedly secured the friendly victory.
Our national team opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a goal by Christos Karamanis, and in the 36th minute, Rotis extended the lead to 2-0.
In the 52nd minute, our team was awarded a penalty after Kalogirou was brought down. Rotis took the penalty and made it 3-0.
Our national team coach, Christos Charalambous, gave playing time to several players and drew useful conclusions for our upcoming matches.

Our national team is preparing for its official matches in the qualifying round of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship.
Cyprus and Malta will face off again in another friendly match next Monday at 3:30 p.m. at the Ethnikos Achnas Stadium.
