According to “Encestando,” the Thessaloniki team, along with Valencia, Dubai BC, and Paris, are expected to be the next four teams to acquire EuroLeague franchises, ushering in a new chapter for the competition.
Journalist Javier Maestro reports that the relevant decisions are expected to be finalized in early November, while the total amount to be paid by the four clubs amounts to 300 million euros.
The same report places great emphasis on the financial plan for the coming years of the competition, noting that a total of 3.4 billion euros is projected to be distributed to participating teams over the next decade. At the same time, the plan aims to further enhance the EuroLeague both financially and in terms of competition.
The Spanish media describe PAOK as a clear contender for entry into the EuroLeague, emphasizing that it is among the favorites, thanks to the major signings it has made, as well as the high ambitions of the team’s power broker, Telis Mystakidis.
