All the games in the third round of the EuroLeague have concluded.
Panathinaikos comfortably defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv 90-67, while yesterday (October 1) Olympiacos lost 96-94 to Virtus in Bologna.
The “Greens” are not alone at the top of the standings, as they share the lead with Fenerbahçe, Valencia, and Partizan, with all three of those teams securing important victories on Friday night.
Barcelona rediscovered its form and secured a convincing victory on Besiktas’ home court
Barcelona emerged victorious from Besiktas’ home court!
Dominating the game and holding double-digit leads for most of the match in the third round of the EuroLeague, the “Blaugrana” had several standout performers and ultimately prevailed 95-82, returning to winning ways after their recent loss to Dubai BC and improving their record to 2-1.
Leading the way for the winners—who will host Zalgiris in their next game—were Pander (16 points) and Gibson (15 points), while Enkamuwa (11 points) and Balcerowski (11 points) also finished the game with double-digit scores.
On the other hand, Besiktas failed to secure a second consecutive victory following their win against Maccabi, suffering their second loss in as many home games and dropping to 1-2, before facing Baskonia on the road. The team’s top performers of the night were Wilbekin (17 points, 4 assists), Zizic (10 points, 9 rebounds), and Dotson (11 points, 3 assists).

Through fire and brimstone, and with Bingham leading the way, Fenerbahce remained undefeated
Following the third-place game in this year’s EuroLeague Super Cup, Fenerbahce also defeated Dubai in the third round and during the first “hellish week.”
After last year’s two losses to Thomas Walkup’s current team, Saras’s squad was determined not to repeat those results, and so—with great difficulty and with Horton – Tucker not scoring as effectively as usual, to pull off a 76-66 victory!
The home team relied on the 20 points from the game’s top scorer, Bingham—who went 2-for-2 on two-pointers and 4-for-5 on three-pointers, while also grabbing 5 defensive rebounds—to secure the win, while Baldwin, with 14 points and 5 assists, and Horton-Tucker, who had just 8 points and missed all 4 of his three-point attempts, came close but fell short!
Dubai, which attempted a major comeback in the second quarter—or at least showed Fenerbahce that it wouldn’t have an easy night in their matchup— had Kampengele leading the team with 12 rebounds, while Okobo, Bacon, Diakite, and Wright scored 18, 12, 10, and 12 points, respectively.

Valencia came back from an 18-point deficit against Villeurbanne and went 3-for-3 with a 100-point game
Valencia emerged victorious with a major comeback at Villeurbanne’s home court!
Although they watched their opponents play a perfect offensive game in the first half and take an 18-point lead, the Spaniards fought back and found a way to come back, dominating the second half of the game and securing a 105-92 victory!
Leading the way for Valencia—which is now 3-0 to start this year’s EuroLeague and will host Hapoel Tel Aviv in the next round—were Mirotić (22 points) and Short (17 points, 6 assists).
For Villeurbanne, which suffered its second consecutive loss following the one at Panathinaikos and dropped to 1-2 before facing Paris in the French derby, Mills (26 points on 4-for-7 from three-point range) and Besson (19 points, 6 assists) stood out.

Super Jones led Partizan to a comeback victory in Munich and to the top of the standings
Partizan continued its impressive start to this year’s EuroLeague campaign!
On Friday night (October 2) the “black-and-whites” from Belgrade secured an 86-84 victory on Bayern Munich’s home court in the third round of the competition, extending their winning streak!
Despite trailing by as many as 13 points toward the end of the third quarter, the Serbs managed to turn the game around in the final quarter and secure the win, thanks to a tremendous performance by Carlik Jones.
The American guard finished the game with 16 points—14 of them in the final quarter—and 5 assists, while Jekiri added 17 points and 5 rebounds. For the Bavarians, who fell to 1-2, Washington and Timan stood out with 20 and 17 points, respectively.
