The EuroLeague Super Cup, scheduled for September 18–19 in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of Olympiacos, Fenerbahçe, Real Madrid, and Dubai BC is likely to be postponed.
The event is likely to be canceled, a decision that could be announced as early as the next 48 hours.
There is intense concern among the three European teams, as the U.S. government has issued a Code 3 travel advisory for the Emirates, which set off alarm bells for the American players on Olympiacos, Fenerbahçe, and Real Madrid.
Code 3 means “it is advisable not to travel to the Emirates, as there is a risk.” Code 4, on the other hand, means “travel is prohibited.”
Everything points, therefore, to the EuroLeague deciding to cancel the first-ever EuroLeague Super Cup.
Here is the tournament schedule:

- 5:00 p.m. Olympiacos–Fenerbahçe
- 8:00 p.m. Dubai BC vs. Real Madrid
Saturday, September 19
- 5:00 p.m. Third-Place Game
