Tonight (Nov. 6), the 10th round of the EuroLeague comes to a close with four exciting and intriguing matchups, including Olympiacos’ home game against Red Star.
The first tip-off of the day takes place at 7:00 p.m. at the “TBF Development Center” in Istanbul, where Besiktas (4-5) will host Zalgiris (5-4). Both teams are coming off positive results, with the Turks securing an impressive 103-101 victory over Virtus in Bologna, while the Lithuanians have racked up three straight wins against Villeurbanne, Virtus, and Partizan, averaging 94.3 points per game!
At 9:30 p.m., Virtus Bologna will face off against Dubai BC at the “PalaDozza.” Everything positive at the start of the season has been undone over the past two weeks, as they’ve suffered three consecutive losses, giving up over 90 points per game. As a result, they’ve slipped to 4-5 and are looking for a bounce-back win—as well as a statement that they can and deserve to be among the league’s top teams. At the same time, Dubai BC is coming off a big win over Hapoel Tel Aviv (97-83), which was their fourth victory in their last five European games, a run that has brought them to a 6-3 record.
Finally, at 9:45 p.m., Partizan hosts Maccabi Tel Aviv in Belgrade in a game where both teams are desperate for the win. The home team, with a 4-5 record, has suffered two consecutive losses and five in their last six European (!), while the Israelis have been one of the biggest disappointments of the season, sitting near the bottom of the standings with a 2-7 record.
