Cesc Fàbregas led Como to one of the most historic—if not the greatest at this moment— victories in the club’s history with a comfortable and commanding 4-1 win over Manchester United on Wednesday night.
The Spanish coach, who draws inspiration from the world’s top managers and brings flair to the “Larianis,” said at the press conference following his players’ celebration on the field against the “Red Devils” that:
“I regret that in the last ten minutes I told them to slow down and manage the game after we went up 4-0.
I told them to stop running so much and stay close to the midfield line, but I regret it because I’m always the one pushing my players to keep fighting until the very end. It was my mistake, and the goal we conceded was because we let our guard down…”.
