Feyenoord was no match for Barcelona, which crushed them 5-1 in the League Phase opener. The Dutch team’s coach and former “Blaugrana” star, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, sang the Catalans’ praises.
“Barcelona is currently the best team in the world. We didn’t come here to… park the bus in front of our goal, but to play soccer. The early goals we conceded certainly didn’t help us. We had some chances, we tried to score, but there’s a difference in the level of the two teams. Barcelona can win the Champions League this year,” he said.

He also praised Lamine Yamal. “At his age, he’s won everything. The fans love him. He could win the Ballon d’Or. I see him as the next Messi and Ronaldinho,” said the Dutch coach.
