Panathinaikos’ preparations for the new, challenging season are well underway, with the “Greens” playing their first friendly game of the new era under Zeljko Obradovic.
The “Clover” faced Marousi and suffered a 97-86 friendly loss, in a game in which the Serbian coach experimented with many new tactics, working with limited options, as Panathinaikos played without Sloukas, Lesor, Nan, Hayes, Francisco, Bandio, Bonga, Mitoglou, and Huanzuo.
Obradović gave plenty of playing time to Moraitis, Kouzeloglou, and Mantzouka, as the “Greens” got their first chance to shake off the rust ahead of the demanding stretch ahead. As expected, the team’s performance was affected by the many absences and a lack of game rhythm, with the players’ legs still feeling heavy.
In the Panathinaikos camp, however, there is great concern, as Nikos Rogavopoulos, during the match, felt discomfort in his left thigh and went straight away to undergo all the necessary tests to determine the nature of his injury.
